Who is better in basketball the Denver Nuggets or the Dallas Mavericks?

Both are good teams, but in a long hall the Nuggets would be the better team because they spread there D out and when J r Smith is on his game its a rap. But if Dirk keeps playing the way they are they may could beat the nuggets and the lakers.
