Why do some people ume someone is a troll?

I'm just curious about this. While I was never directly accused of being a troll, I felt someone insinuating that I was. I asked a stupid question, yes I'll admit that, but in all fairness it was an honest question that I felt needed explained. I didn't reread the question before submitting, a mistake I will not make again. I just want to know why some people jump down someone's back for making a small mistake in their added info. Why do people do this? Do they not make mistakes when asking a question? Do they really believe that they are perfect? Don't get me wrong, questions about relationships often annoy me but some are honest questions needing answers.
