Changing car dilemma? I currently have an R reg pug 106 but my mate is selling his 05 black clio?

To be honest my pug needs a bit of work, new exhaust, sprayed bonnet, bumper and wings and the alloys need sandblasted and sprayed. Its worth maybe �500 (Only done 70,000 miles, has e/w and power steering, lowered etc). My pal is looking for �3000 for his clio. I cant decide what to do.... Spend �500 fixing the pug or sc money together and get the clio??????? Maybe get a loan for it.
