Quick Chuck Roast Recipe?

I have a piece of chuck roast cut into pieces that i want to prepare for dinner tonight, i only have 1-2 hours, so crock pot it out of the question, but i dont want the meat to come out hard and tough, whats the best way to cook it and ensure it stays soft, long fry over low heat, fry quick over high heat, bake in oven high heat, etc?
